Come and enjoy California’s beautiful Central Coast at Templeton Tennis Ranch – a USTA Pro-Circuit host facility, located in the heart of the Paso Robles wine region! 

Join us for this first annual event – play tennis and meet some of the area’s top winemakers as they guide you on a personal wine tasting experience. Includes tennis, lunch, wine tasting, dinner, live music, and dancing. Each tennis participant will also receive a complimentary bottle of wine.

5pm - 8pm
Friday evening check in. Play some  tennis and sample some wine.

9am - 12pm
Men’s and Women’s Doubles 3.0 and 4.0 skill levels. Four teams per division. Match format is the same as mixed however no final. Most games wins. If needed, a 5 point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set, and if games are tied 3-3.

11:30pm-1pm
Lunch - on site at TTR's Ohana Hale Cafe.

1pm - 5pm
Mixed Doubles. 8 teams (max) per division, two pools of 4 teams. Each team plays three matches. A match will consist of two out of three Fast4 sets with a 5 point tie-breaker in lieu of a third set. Approximately 45 minutes per match. Top two teams (most games) in each pool play a final.

4:30pm - 5:30pm
Break - Return to your hotel to rest, or stay and enjoy TTR's beautiful facility and amenities.

5:30pm - 10pm
Wine Tasting & Dinner - Enjoy sampling a variety of some of the Central Coast's finest wines, followed by a wonderful meal especially prepared for you by TTR's Chef Anne. 

Hear from two of the Central Coast's premier winemakers as they describe the art of growing and making some of the finest wines in the world.

After dinner, close the evening with music, wine, and dancing under the stars!

 

Note: All Volleys and Vino guests--including those not playing tennis--may enjoy the Clubhouse and all of the amenities TTR has to offer; fitness, sauna, pickleball, bocce, table tennis, and massage (appointment required).

Neil Roberts - Clavo Cellars

Neil Roberts has over 20 years of experience in the wine industry throughout California’s many appellations. Neil started his career with the Mondavi family, and in 2004 he created his own wine label, Clavo Cellars.

Neil created Clavo Cellars with the intent to showcase the many qualities of the Paso Robles Appellation. He believes wine is grown in the vineyard and simply maintained in the cellar. Through Neil’s primary business, Roberts Vineyard Services, he manages over 1,600 acres of vineyards from southern Monterey County down through Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo. Neil uses only fruit from the vineyards he manages to insure quality from the ground to the glass. 

Through participating in events like Volleys & Vino, Neil truly enjoys sharing his passion for wine. He is a frequent guest on local radio programs, and was recently named Templeton's Citizen of the Year!

Michelle and Brock Waterman - Brochelle Vineyards

Starting with nothing but determination and a dream, Brock and Michelle Waterman found the perfect patch of land on the westside of Paso Robles on which to start their life and business together. Keeping their day jobs, they came home every night and tended to the nearly 15,000 newly planted vines. The first harvest came unexpectedly early, thanks to very heavy rainfall. In 1998, they harvested enough grapes to make a mere 50 cases, and the very first vintage of Brochelle (Brock + Michelle) Zinfandel was born.

Throughout the past twenty years, theye’ve weathered the many ups and downs of the economy – but never deviated from their passion and pursuit of excellence. They adamantly pursue enticing nothing but the best wines possible from their vineyard. They care deeply about every step of the process - from pruning, harvesting, bottling and absolutely everything in between. No detail is left unnoticed. Brock and Michelle believe that love, indeed, is always found in the details. Their intention is that these fine points fully reveal themselves to you in each and every bottle Brochelle Vineyards produces.
