Gliders

Gliders builds on the basics of water safety and begins the process of learning to swim!

Goals (building on skills from Bobbers and Bobbers Plus) 

  • Back and front glides with recovery.
  • Roll over: back to front and front to back.
  • Kicking front and back unassisted.
  • Jumping in, rolling onto back and calling for help.
  • Treading water.
  • Using arms to propel forward with side breathing.

Skills required to move up to Zoomers:

  • Jump into the water, surface, roll onto back and call for help
  • Kick unassisted on front and back for 15 feet.

Program Sessions:

Full session is six classes over two weeks.  
Session 1 - (S1A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S1B: Tues-Thurs-Sat):  June 8 through June 20, 2026
Session 2 - (S2A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S2B*: Tues-Thurs-Sat*):  June 22 through July 3, 2026
Session 3 - (S3A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S3B: Tues-Thurs-Sat):  July 6 through July 18, 2026
Session 4 - (S4A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S4B: Tues-Thurs-Sat):  July 20 through August 1, 2026
Session 5 - (S5A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S5B: Tues-Thurs-Sat): August 3 through August 15, 2026
Session 6 - (S6A: Mon-Wed-Fri,  or S6B: Tues-Thurs-Sat): August 17 through August 29, 2026
*Session S2B is only five classes due to the Fourth of July holiday.
