Frequently Asked Questions
Can my buisness sponsor our team?
Absolutely! Your business (or any business, for that matter) may choose to sponsor a team and pay the team's league fee.
Where are the matches played?
All CCBL matches will be played at our new, lighted, four-court Bocce complex at Templeton Tennis Ranch, 345 Championship Lane, Templeton.
How many people can play together on a team?
A regular league team must have at least eight (8) registered players. There is no maximum number of team members. A Family League team must have at least three (3) family member players. Again, there is no maximum number of family member players.
What if I don't have enough people to form a team?
We can help! Individually, you can register as a Solo Free Agent, or as part of a Small Group of two (2) to seven (7) players. In either case, we will add you to an existing team, or create a new team made up of Solo Free Agents and/or Small Groups.
What if not everyone on my team can make it each night?
Not a problem! You only need two players to play the match to avoid a forefit. Keep in mind, however, that come playoff time, only those players who played in at least half of your team's matches will be eligible to play during playoff matches.
What ages are appropriate to play Bocce?
At regular league matches beer and wine will be available for purchase and consumption on-site. For this reason, we recommend players be 21 or older. Any player under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent who is also registered as a player on the same team. All regular season players must be at least age 14.
For Family League (Saturdays 9am to 11am), players must be at least seven (7) years old, and accompanied by a parent who is also a registered player on the same team.
I've never played Bocce before, do I need to take a lesson before joinging the league?
Not at all... Bocce is way too easy to require lessons!
Can I choose which night our team will play?
No. The team/player regustration form will ask for your preference of which nights you would prefer to play. We will attempt to accomodate those preferences, but cannot guarantee any specific night.
Will there be food or drink during league play?
Yes! Beer, fine local wines, and other beverages will be availabe for purchase, along with a selection of tasty bites from our Wine Bar and Cafe in the TTR Clubhouse. Courtside delivery will be availble too! A corkage fee will appl to any outside wine brought in. No other outside food or drinks are permitted.
